Instructional Assistants

Ms. Burt is an instructional assistant in the EC department. She enjoys getting to know students and learning new ways to help them learn and being support to the teachers in the classroom. Outside of school, Ms. Burt is a mom to two daughters.

I have been with long with for 2 years now and am now starting as a 2nd grade IA cant wait to rock this school year out.

Alaina Young is an Instructional Assistant for Long Mill Elementary. Alaina loves crafting with rhinestones, working with kids, and traveling.

Rose Ann Taylor graduated from Wake Technical College with a diploma in Mechanical Drafting, Class of 1984. She worked as an AutoCAD designer for a few different engineering firms for over 25 years. She started volunteering in her daughter’s kindergarten class and was “Hooked”. She loves working with kids so much more than engineers. She started by tutoring 3rd graders part time for 2 years. In 2014 she joined the kindergarten team as an Instructional Assistant and also became a bus driver. In 2018 she moved into this EC class working with students with special needs. As of the 2024-2025 school year she is back in kindergarten and she can't wait to beginning this year.

Mrs. Holtz is an Instructional Assistant for 3rd, 4th and 5th grade. She holds an Associate of Arts degree from Trident Technical College. She loves getting to know each student, discovering how they learn best, and working alongside teachers to support classroom success. Outside of school, Mrs. Holtz enjoys spending time with her husband and three children.
