Becky Merrick was born and raised in North Carolina. She graduated from UNCG with a degree in the education of the deaf and hard of hearing in 2007. She graduated from NC State with a master's in special education in 2009. She has been teaching since 2009 in special education. She currently lives in Louisburg with her family.

Ms. Jaleesa Davis is a 3rd year Special Education Resource Teacher at Long Mill Elementary School. She received her Bachelor of Science in Special Education, General Curriculum from East Carolina University in 2022. She previously worked as an Exceptional Children's Instructional Assistant(IA) at Cedar Creek Middle School, as well as a Kindergarten/1st grade IA at Long Mill before transitioning into her current position. She is a mother of 4, she's very family-oriented and her hobbies include traveling, crafting, and designing.
