Mrs. Emily Makay is in her third year as a part of the Long Mill family. Before becoming Long Mill's instructional coach Mrs. Makay was a fifth-grade teacher and assistant principal in Granville County.
Mrs. Makay is originally from State College, Pennsylvania. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education from Penn State University and a Masters degree in School Administration from NC State.
In her spare time, Mrs. Makay enjoys watching sports, reading, and spending time with her husband and daughter, Aria.

Rachel Macholl graduated from Merrimack College with a major in psychology and elementary education. A CT native, Rachel moved to NC in 2005 with her husband to start their family. Throughout her time in Wake Forest, Rachel owned a dance studio, served as president of her HOA, edited her husband’s published memoir about their son, “Mickey’s Fight”, and actively participates in the FHS Booster Club and PTO’s at Long Mill & Cedar Creek. Rachel loves her role as an interventionist at Long Mill Elementary, the place her three boys considered a home since her oldest began in 2013. She was proud to represent Long Mill as WQDR’s Teacher of the Month in 2019, Teacher of the Year at Long Mill and Franklin County Teacher of the Year Finalist in 2023. Rachel has advocated for children professionally and in her personal life for her entire career and believes all children are capable of learning with research-based, daily, systematic, rigorous, and explicit instruction with fidelity. “Once a child knows that they have a teacher that believes in them, they will believe it themselves”.

Mrs. Molly Roach was born and raised near Winston-Salem, North Carolina. In 2009 she graduated from NC State University with her Bachelor's Degree. In 2013 she graduated with her Master's Degree from the University of South Carolina. She has been a Speech-Language Pathologist for 11 years. She has a variety of work experience including: home-based, private practice, and schools. All of her experience has been working with pediatrics. She enjoys spending time with her husband, walking their two labs, serving at her church, and doing Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.
