4th Grade

Mrs. Crow grew up in Franklin County and is a proud graduate of Franklinton High School. After spending the past nine years living in different parts of the country while her husband served in the Army, she is excited to return home and give back to the community that shaped her. Mrs. Crow is the proud mother of three children under the age of four and enjoys practicing yoga and reading in her free time. She looks forward to making a positive impact on her students and community.

Anneka Thomas is an experienced educator with nearly 18 years of teaching experience dedicated to fostering student growth, academic achievement, and a lifelong love of learning. Born and raised in Jamaica, Anneka began her teaching career there before moving to the United States in 2015 as part of the International Exchange Teacher Program.

She is a certified Montessori teacher through the North American Montessori Center (NAMC) and holds a Master of Education degree from North Carolina State University. Throughout her career, Anneka has worked to create engaging, supportive, and inclusive learning environments where students feel valued, challenged, and empowered to reach their full potential.

Anneka is passionate about helping students develop not only academically, but also as confident, curious, and compassionate individuals. Outside of the classroom, she enjoys traveling, gardening, pottery, and baking; creative pursuits that reflect her belief in the importance of curiosity, exploration, and lifelong learning.

Ms. Yau has been teaching in FCS since 2020. Ms. Yau enjoys going hiking and traveling on her free time. Ms. Yau was born and raised in Charlotte, NC, where her family currently resides. Ms. Yau is excited to work with this year's families and students!
