Mrs. Crow grew up in Franklin County and is a proud graduate of Franklinton High School. After spending the past nine years living in different parts of the country while her husband served in the Army, she is excited to return home and give back to the community that shaped her. Mrs. Crow is the proud mother of three children under the age of four and enjoys practicing yoga and reading in her free time. She looks forward to making a positive impact on her students and community.

Anneka Thomas is an accomplished educator with nearly 16 years of experience dedicated to fostering student growth and academic excellence. She began her teaching career in Jamaica, where she was born and raised, and moved to the United States in 2015 as part of the international exchange teacher program.

Anneka is a certified Montessori teacher through the North American Montessori Center (NAMC) and has completed her Master of Education degree at North Carolina State University, with graduation scheduled for December 2025. Throughout her career, she has been dedicated to creating engaging and supportive learning environments that foster academic and personal growth among learners. In addition, she serves as Vice President of Logistics for the Association for Talent Development, where she advances professional learning and growth initiatives.

Outside of her professional endeavors, Anneka enjoys traveling, gardening, pottery, and baking, which she views as extensions of her creativity and love of lifelong learning.
Katherine Wu

Katherine Wu

Mrs. Wu was born in Wilmington, NC but grew up first in central Florida then Greensboro, NC before returning to Wilmington to pursue her degree in Marine Biology at UNC-W. After graduating in 2005, she moved back to central Florida to work at SeaWorld Orlando as a member of the Education & Conservation department. It was there that she met her husband, Feilong. After 11 years at SeaWorld, Mrs. Wu and her husband decided to move back up to North Carolina with their daughter to be closer to family. She now lives in Youngsville, NC with her husband, daughter, dog and cats. Mrs. Wu enjoys hiking, crafting, camping, and traveling to the mountains and the beach!

Ms. Yau has been teaching in FCS since 2020, teaching 5th grade math and science for four years. Ms. Yau has been part of the Long Mill Lions family since 2024 teaching 3rd grade and this year will be Ms. Yau's first year teaching 4th grade. Ms. Yau enjoys going hiking and traveling on her free time. Ms. Yau was born and raised in Charlotte, NC, where her family currently resides. Ms. Yau is excited to work with this year's family and students!
